FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you use any artificial products or preservatives in your line?
No, all ingredients in Oyana Body Care products come from nature. Preservatives aren't used at all.
Which products do you recommend for acne prone skin?
While everyone's body reacts differently, I recommend Oyana Black Soap Foaming Face Wash followed by Oyana Soothing Oil. Both products include the natural benefits of African Black Soap and lavender and tea tree therapeutic grade essential oils.
I have extremely dry skin, which products do you recommend?
Again, everyone's skin is different but the moisturizing and healing compounds in Oyana Black Soap Hair & Body Wash and Oyana CocoaShea Body Butter are great for those who suffer from excessive dry skin.
What fragrances do you use in your products?
All fragrances in the Oyana line are derived naturally from the ingredients in the product or from added 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.
What is Black Soap?
African Black Soap is generally made from locally harvested African plants like plantains, cocoa pods, shea tree bark, palm tree leaves which are cured in the sun with shea butter, coconut oil, and palm oil. I get my supply from Ghana and each supplier uses their own recipe.
Can the Black Soap Hair and Body wash really be used on my hair?
Yes! Black soap cleanses thoroughly without stripping the natural oils from your hair. It is also wonderful for those who suffer from dandruff or dry, itchy scalp.
I ordered a Black Soap product and there are dark specs in it. What is that?
African Black Soap is made from the ash of several natural products. The ingredients that I order are raw and unprocessed and I do my best to filter all of that out but occasionally some specks make it through. It isn't harmful, in fact, the ash is great for your skin!
Are you one of those hippies?
If offering all natural, cruelty-free products with zero gluten makes me a hippie... I guess you can find me hugging a tree :)
