Hello and welcome to the Oyana Community!

If you've already purchased an item or two and wish to find out some tips for use, you've come to the right place!

If you haven't yet decided whether to give Oyana a try, hopefully I can answer any questions you might have!

Oyana Body Care products are all natural and hand made with ingredients chosen for the specific benefits they carry. Skin ailments that Shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and African black soap are known to help improve are acne, eczema, dandruff, flaky skin, psoriasis, sun burn, razor burn, dark spots, and more.

From my own personal use, the following are a few tips that I've compiled over the years. Please feel free to elaborate or add your own suggestions in the comments. My goal is for this post to be a go-to for healthy skin tips. This is an organic page which will continue to grow as I come across more beneficial tips to share!

  • Open your pores before washing your face and close them afterwards. Pressing a warm towel to your face before washing helps open your pores, making it easier to clean out any impurities. Once clean, splash cool water on your face to close the pores again. 
  • Overly dry skin produces more oil, thus causing more breakouts. If you suffer from acne, your first instinct is to avoid oil at all cost. Unfortunately, when you deprive your skin of oil, the first thing it'll do is overproduce oil to compensate. There are oils known for their antibacterial and anti-fungal properties making them ideal for those of us prone to acne.
  • Aloe isn't the only natural compound available to help heal sunburns. Raw Shea butter is also a fantastic fix as it reduces swelling while soothing and healing burned skin. Many people who are allergic to aloe feel they've got to suffer healing from sunburns but they just haven't found the joy of Shea butter!
  • If you're suffering from an unexpected acne breakout, apply a black soap product to the skin but don't rinse it off right away. Depending on how sensitive your skin is, you can leave it on anywhere from 5 minutes to overnight. You will be amazed at the shrinkage of your pores and breakouts!
